What is Yoga?
It is very common to think that yoga is just a physical practice, but it is much more than that. Yoga includes meditation, breathing techniques, mudras (hand gestures), bandhas (energetic locks) and a whole lifestyle. In my classes you will learn yoga in it's most complete form and expression.
Why practice Yoga?
Today I recommend practicing it to everyone and especially to people who suffer from stress, anxiety, depression, burn out syndrome, pre-menopause, menopause, for those who want to gain strength and/or flexibility and for those who want to reconnect with their self.
Note: Yoga does not replace any psychological treatment but it is a great ally of this.
Styles I teach:
Yin Yoga: A slow but deep style of yoga. It works at the level of the fascia, connective tissue that supports the organs of our body. In general, in a yin class, the postures are on the floor and can be held for 1 to 5 minutes or even more.
Yin/ Yang Yoga: Yin with a little more of movement (yang poses)
Hatha: in Sanskrit literally means ‘stubborn’. So Hatha Yoga practice means the stubborn practice of yoga, without the interference of the five senses and the mind. HA means sun and THA means moon. Hatha Yoga balances these two energies inside us.
Most postures are standing poses and we can hold the poses few breaths up to minutes.
Restorative: is a restful practice that holds yoga poses for a longer duration using props like yoga blocks, blankets, and bolsters. It is a practice of deep relaxation that emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga—the union of body and mind. Through the use of props for support, many of the postures are held almost effortlessly. Only in person, not online.
Vinyasa: type of dynamic yoga based on the union of movement and breathing through sequences of postures (asanas) linked to each other.
Pre Natal and Post Natal: yoga for moms-to-be and new moms with their babies. I am a mom and I fully understand what you are you going through. It is a stage of your life that can become the happiest but also a stage full of fears and a huge change in your body, mind and emotions. Let me guide you and help you so that you live it as fully as possible, you can connect with your baby before and after delivery and prepare your body for that moment. Private lessons face to face or online
Yoga Nidra: Re-energize yourself with this wonderful and magical practice! Recorded or alive class where you only need to lie comfortably on the bed or floor and enter a state of stillness. I will guide you through a sensory journey that will make you relax and at the same time fill you with energy. It is said that 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of deep sleep. Are you ready to experience it?
